Last Sunday we spent time with our co-workers in Farsi in their studio in Cyprus learning about their work and their needs. They are doing marvelous work with minimal resources. Then we came back to Larnaca and spent some visiting St. Lazarus Greek Orthodox church before going to the Airport. We were scheduled for to leave at 8:15, but ended up leaving around 11:00 which caused us to arrive in Cairo after midnight. After collecting our luggage and getting on our bus, we didn't' arrive at our hotel until nearly 2 AM.

Our first day in Egypt was spent visiting our co-workers here, seeing their work first hand. It is amazing what they accomplish with so little. Here is a picture of part of the group I am traveling with in the studio here.
After having lunch with our co-workers we took off to cross the city to visit with one of our Ministry partners at the Egyptian Bible Society. They have exciting plans for how to make the Bible available to all the people of Egypt.Of course when you are here you have to stop and shop for gifts which we have been doing.
Today, we were truly tourists. We visited all the "important" sites in Cairo including the pyramids and two ancient Coptic Orthodox churches. There is so much to see and so little time.
This sign above the door to one of the churches reads - Ask and it shall be given, Seek and you shall find, knock and it will be opened to you.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I have so much to share that should not go here on the blog, but I would love to talk to you personally about them.
In HIS love and mine,
Jim
